Annual Appeals –
There are several occasions throughout the year to raise money for the Good Samaritan Fund. The Good Samaritan Fund at Moravian Hall Square is specifically directed to address the operational loss incurred when a resident has spent down their personal resources and can no longer cover the daily cost of care. Over the past 3 years, the average cost of subsidy is $400,000 per year. The revenue from special events, memorial gifts and a year end mailing help to fund some of this operational expense. |
Seasonal offerings include:
Spring – Memorial appeal
Summer – Golf Tournament
Fall – Harvest of Friends themed dinner
Winter – Holiday letter campaign |

Memorial Gifts - A special way to commemorate a loved one and support the mission of Moravian Hall Square is through a tribute gift. Memorial gifts may be designated toward named funds or their use may be directed to the current needs of the facility. Please include the name of the person being honored as well as the name of surviving family members to whom notice of this gift should be sent. Our general policy is to direct memorial gifts to the Good Samaritan Fund.
Wish List Items - There are always specific needs for programming and equipment to enrich the quality of life for all residential levels and improve staff efficiency. These “wishes” range from personal items such as clothing protectors and lap robes to community equipment needs such as a wheelchair passenger van.
